A Tiffany table lamp in the shape of a butterfly, made from stained glass and designed to add a decorative touch of light to a smaller space in your home. Its tall upper wings and more rounded lower wings give the lamp its instantly recognisable butterfly shape.

The wings combine pale cream, off-white, amber and warm yellow tones. Dark brown to almost black solder lines outline the individual wing sections. The central body is dark reddish-brown to burgundy, with a small red to dark-red accent near the head.

A butterfly that forms the lamp itself
On this table lamp, the butterfly is not merely a motif on a shade. Four glass wings, a slender central body, antennae and curved legs form the entire lamp. The upper wings rise high and narrow towards their tips, while the shorter lower wings spread outwards and downwards. Curved dark lines across the glass resemble the veins of insect wings.

Cream and amber when illuminated
When the lamp is on, the differences between its glass panels become clear. Cream and pale-yellow sections are among the brightest areas, while amber and orange-toned panels look deeper and darker in places. The lighting is not perfectly even, so each glass section retains its individual character.

Dark solder lines define the wing structure against the lighter panels, and the central body stays darker than the wings, keeping the butterfly recognisable.

Approximately 32 individual glass pieces
The lamp comprises approximately 32 pieces of genuine glass and is handcrafted using the Tiffany technique. Each piece is cut by hand, arranged to a template, edged with copper foil and soldered to its neighbours. The visible solder lines join the panels and form part of the design.

Subtle differences in colour and texture appear across the wings: some pieces are fairly uniform, while others are mottled or cloudy. Handmade variations in glass and soldering mean no two are exactly alike.

Dark legs and delicate antennae
The supports are incorporated into the butterfly itself: a dark central body and several curved, leg-like elements carry the lamp. Two slender antennae project above the body, ending in small curls.
