A Tiffany butterfly tealight holder made from genuine stained glass in turquoise and deep blue adds a small splash of colour to your home with a single tealight. Its four upright wings form a three-dimensional butterfly that remains decorative even when the candle is not lit.

The wings are made from approximately 32 hand-cut pieces of glass in turquoise, aqua, light blue and deep blue. White central panels soften the colour scheme, while ruby-red glass accents mark the butterfly’s dark body.

Four wings around a single light
Two elongated upper wings and two rounder lower wings are angled apart, leaving room for the round holder and a single tealight between them. From the front, the butterfly looks largely symmetrical; from the side, its open structure and the spacing between the wings become visible. Broad solder lines fan out from the body, following the pattern of natural wing veins.

Cool-coloured glass around a flickering flame
The flame remains visible between the wings. Glass near the centre catches the most light, while the outer edges stay darker. Turquoise shifts towards bright aqua, cyan and blue-green. White central panels take on the flame’s golden glow and become ivory-toned, while deep-blue edges continue to frame the wings. The result is a water-like play of colour with a warm centre.

The wings contain approximately 32 hand-cut pieces of genuine glass. Dark solder lines join the pieces using the Tiffany technique and create the graphic wing pattern. Turquoise panels show delicate streaks, cloudy textures and colour variations. Smaller deep-blue sections have a richer colour, while white glass softens the candlelight. Small differences in glass shape, colour and soldering are characteristic of the handmade process.
