This Tiffany animal lamp features two colourful parrots at different heights on a tree-shaped base. The lower bird sits to the left, while the upper bird is positioned higher on the right. Together, they create one striking design.

The two birds are made from approximately 314 individual pieces of genuine glass. Yellow, cream, red, green and blue-green are the main colours. Dark solder lines divide the glass into individual sections, clearly defining the heads, chests, wings and long tails.

When the lamp is switched on, the yellow, cream and pale-yellow glass in the birds’ chests and bellies glows particularly brightly. The red, blue and green sections remain darker. The red details around their eyes also become more noticeable.

Two parrots on one tree-shaped stand
The lamp forms a single vertical composition. A tree-like trunk rises from the broad, irregular base and branches out to support the two birds. The lower bird sits further down and to the left, while the upper bird is higher and further right. This arrangement gives the lamp a distinct diagonal line.

Rich colours across head, breast, wings and tail
Yellow and cream are most visible on the breast and belly. Red, green, blue and blue-green appear on the heads, wings and tails. Smaller turquoise, amber, beige and dark-blue accents add further colour variation.

Light through the coloured glass
When lit, the pale breast and belly panels glow most brightly, particularly the yellow, cream and pale-yellow glass. Dark red, dark blue and some green areas remain deeper in colour. Dark solder lines are clearly visible between the illuminated glass panels.

Handcrafted using the Tiffany technique
The birds are made from approximately 314 individual pieces of genuine glass and are handcrafted using the Tiffany technique. The individual glass pieces are cut, edged with copper foil and then soldered together. Small variations in the glass and soldering are characteristic of this handcrafted technique.
